Module 2
Family Relationships
Link client records as family members to manage household accounts, shared billing, and family packages. Each person keeps their own individual record but is connected to their relatives.
Linking Family Members
-
Open a Client ProfileOpen the profile of one family member (e.g., the parent).
-
Find the Family SectionScroll down to the "Family & Relationships" section of the profile.
-
Click + Link Family MemberClick the button and search for the other family member by name, email, or client ID.
-
Set the RelationshipChoose the relationship type: Spouse, Parent, Child, Sibling, or Other. The link is created in both directions — if you add a "Child" link on the parent's profile, the child's profile automatically shows a "Parent" link back.
Relationship Types
| Type | Inverse | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Spouse | Spouse | Married/partnered couples |
| Parent | Child | Parent paying for child's services |
| Child | Parent | Minor child of client |
| Sibling | Sibling | Brothers/sisters |
| Other | Other | Caretakers, guardians, etc. |
Household Benefits
When clients are linked as family:
- Shared billing — One family member can pay for another's services
- Family view — See all family members from any linked profile
- Family packages — If your business offers family pricing, linked accounts are eligible
Removing a Family Link
To unlink family members, open either person's profile, find the relationship in the Family section, and click Remove Link. This removes the connection in both directions.
