Terminal Overview

The POS terminal is a dedicated screen optimized for fast transactions. Learn where everything is so you can ring up sales efficiently.

Screen Layout

The POS terminal has four main areas:

1. Product Grid (Left)
   Buttons for your most popular items organized by category. Click an item to add it to the cart. Use the search bar above to find items not shown in the grid.
2. Cart / Order Summary (Right)
   Shows items added to the current transaction with quantities, prices, and a running total. Remove items by clicking the × next to them.
3. Category Tabs (Top of Grid)
   Filter the product grid by category. Click a tab to show only items in that category.
4. Payment Area (Bottom Right)
   Shows the total amount due and payment method buttons: Card, Cash, Split Payment.

Opening the POS

1. Navigate to POS
   Click POS in the sidebar to open the terminal.
2. Select Register (if multiple)
   If your location has multiple registers, select which one you're using.
3. Open Cash Drawer (if applicable)
   Enter the starting cash float amount to begin accepting cash payments.
