Consent for SMS Communication

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to SMS communications from The Business Lab LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you consent to receive text messages from us at the mobile number you provided. Your consent is not a condition of purchase or service.

Privacy Commitment: Mobile opt-in and information obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used solely for the purposes described in these terms.

Types of SMS Communications

We may send the following types of text messages:

Customer Care

Appointment reminders, service confirmations, customer support responses, and answers to your service questions.

"Hi [Name], this is The Business Lab. Your consultation is confirmed for tomorrow at 2:00 PM. Reply CONFIRM to confirm or RESCHEDULE to change. Reply STOP to opt-out of SMS messaging."

Account Information

Account activation notifications, login verification, billing notifications, payment confirmations, and account status updates.

"The Business Lab: Your account has been activated. Your login credentials have been sent to your email. For questions, call (248) 775-5058. Reply STOP to opt-out of SMS messaging."

Marketing

Special deals, promotions, new service announcements, event invitations, and exclusive offers.

"The Business Lab: New client special! Get 15% off your first Business Setup package. Schedule your free consultation today at thebusiness-lab.com. Reply STOP to opt-out of SMS messaging."

Property Management

Rent reminders, maintenance updates, package delivery notifications, lease renewal notices, and community announcements.

"The Business Lab Property Management: Your rent payment of $X,XXX is due on the 1st. Pay online at your tenant portal or contact us at (248) 775-5058. Reply STOP to opt-out of SMS messaging."

"Maintenance Update: Your work order #1234 has been completed. Please inspect and confirm. If further attention is needed, reply to this message. Reply STOP to opt-out of SMS messaging."

"Package Notification: A package has been delivered to the front office for Unit 205. Please pick up during office hours (9 AM - 5 PM). Reply STOP to opt-out of SMS messaging."

How to Opt In

You can opt in to receive SMS messages from The Business Lab by:

Filling out a website form on thebusiness-lab.com and checking the SMS consent box
During account onboarding when setting up your client or tenant account
By texting JOIN to our business number
By providing verbal consent during an onboarding phone call or in-person meeting

By opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder of the mobile number provided or that the account holder has authorized you to opt in.

Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary. The number of messages you receive depends on your account activity, service usage, and communication preferences.

Our SMS message frequency will be from 10 to 500 text messages daily across all users regarding Customer Care, Account Information, Property Management, and Marketing communications. Individual message frequency will vary based on your account activity and preferences.

Standard Messaging Disclosures

Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's standard messaging and data rates may apply to any messages you send or receive. The Business Lab is not responsible for any charges from your wireless provider.

Opt-Out: Text STOP to any message to cancel and stop receiving SMS messages from us.
Opt Back In: Text START to resume receiving messages after opting out.
Help: Text HELP at any time for assistance or contact information.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe.

You will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further texts.

You may also opt out of SMS communications by:

After opting out, you may still receive non-marketing transactional messages related to active services (e.g., security alerts) as permitted by law.

Terms of Service

Use of The Business Lab text message-based services (the "Service") is subject to the following Terms of Service. By opting in to our SMS service, you agree to these terms.

Auto-Dialing Consent

By providing your mobile phone number to The Business Lab LLC, you expressly consent to receiving automated text messages (SMS and MMS) at the phone number provided using an automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded/artificial voice technology. You understand that consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from The Business Lab.

Recurring Messages

By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from The Business Lab LLC. Message frequency varies. You may receive messages related to customer care, account information, property management, and promotional offers.

Access by Others

You acknowledge that text messages are sent to the mobile number you provided and may be accessible by anyone with access to your mobile device. The Business Lab is not responsible for messages accessed by third parties who have access to your device. You are responsible for informing us if your mobile number changes.

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the SMS service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

Limitation of Liability

The Business Lab LLC shall not be liable for any delays, failures, or interruptions in the delivery of any messages sent through the SMS service. We are not responsible for any damages resulting from the use of or inability to use the SMS service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing Law

These SMS Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
